Jr. High Curriculum & Course Guide
UC Logo
The Christ-centered, college preparatory curriculum at the Jr. High is intentionally designed to integrate meaningful and engaging learning activities to inspire our students in their preparation for high school.

Accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges and Association of Christian Schools International, the TCCS curriculum is reviewed and refined on a continuous basis. Meeting and surpassing curricula standards while keeping Jr. High students excited about learning is done masterfully by the faculty.

The Christ-centered, college preparatory curriculum at TCCS integrates:

  • A biblical worldview
  • Engaging hands-on-activities
  • Field trips
  • Outreach
  • Technology integration
  • Bible
  • Mathematics
  • Social Studies (history, culture, economics, government, etc.)
  • Language Arts (reading, writing, vocabulary, spelling, grammar)
  • Science
  • Music, Drama, Art
  • Physical Education (individual developmental skills and team sport)

On an annual basis, Tri-City Christian School uses the "a-g" online update web site to submit to UC requested updates to their existing "a-g" course list.

Courses designated as “UC Approved” meet both the University of California subject area requirements and conform to school curricular reform efforts.

The Jr. High School course descriptions describe the typical courses offered from year-to-year by grade level and are subject to change.
