It was a premier event as Tri-City Christian School celebrated turning 40 this year at the annual auction. It was a star-studded evening held in the TCCS gym which was transformed to classic Hollywood. Through the help of over 90 volunteers, the silent and live auction, gourmet dinner, and student entertainment captured the spirit of Tri-City Christian School. Approximately 200 guests arrived in their finest attire and some came dressed as their favorite movie icons, all to support the goal of raising funds for improving classroom technology for students and providing technology training for teachers. The night was festive and the event climaxed during the live auction as the enthusiastic auctioneer challenged guests to purchase components of an iPad cart which included 28 iPads, protective covers, a syncing and charging cart, and a Mac book. Many participated and helped purchase the cart by raising $13,800. The total proceeds for the auction reached $63,000.00! “The entire evening was a hit and we couldn’t be more pleased with the participation and support of our families. They helped us accomplish a very timely goal of providing technology tools to enhance student learning” said Julie Pittman, Director of Admissions and Development. |
