Hybrid Program
Compass Academy provides a flexible hybrid experience, strengthening the home and school connection while supporting families in guiding their children's academic growth.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Our hybrid model allows us to come alongside parents in nurturing students who pursue Jesus with conviction and purpose. By blending home and campus learning, we support families in raising spiritual champions grounded in biblical truth.
- Applicants for grades 7–12 must meet all TCCS application requirements and be in good standing.
- Prior independent study experience is preferred but not required.
- At least one parent must be available to guide and support the student.
What Parents can Expect from Compass Academy?
Parents play an important role in supporting their students and can be expected to be involved in the following ways:
- Choose up to three courses from our approved curriculum list.
- Purchase curriculum and textbooks as required.
- Submit samples of work and active grade books every six weeks for all independent study courses.
- Meet or consult with the Compass Academy Coordinator as needed.
What can a Compass Academy Student Expect?
From on-campus classes to chapels, sports, activities, and tailored academic support, Compass Academy students have every opportunity to thrive.
- Graduate with an accredited TCCS diploma
- Stay on track with core assessments every six weeks
- Receive personalized academic counseling for high school planning
- Participate in CIF sports
- Join junior high and high school student life activities, including retreats, chapels, dances, and more
- Take up to three on-campus classes
- Work with coordinators to customize your home-taught courses
Can a Traditional Student from TCCS Transfer to Compass Academy?
Families interested in transferring from the traditional TCCS program should review the following guidelines to understand eligibility and the transfer process:
- All standard Compass Academy requirements apply
- Mid-year transfers from the traditional program are not accepted.
- Transfers after 9th grade are limited and require approval from the Compass Academy Acceptance Committee.
