Admissions

The priority application deadline is March 1st. However, we offer rolling admissions and continue to take applications after March 1st until spots are filled. We strongly encourage families to apply early and submit supporting documents, such as transcripts and references, to the school as soon as possible. The new student application window opens October 1st. 

The admissions process typically takes between two to four weeks before a new student is accepted. If you are an early applicant (prior to March 1st), you will receive an answer after March 1st. 

There are no guarantees that your student will receive a spot in a class for the upcoming school year. Spots are subject to availability and we strongly recommend submitting an application early (prior to March 1st) to increase the likelihood of available spots. If you have received an offer of acceptance, your spot is only guaranteed after your student’s enrollment packet is submitted and fees paid. 

As TCCS is a private school and does not receive CA state funding for IEP and 504 plan support, we have limited support available for students with existing IEPs and 504 plans. To determine if TCCS can support your student’s needs, please submit your student’s most recent IEP report to admissions@tccs.org. Additional documents may be required to make a determination. 

The TCCS admissions process starts with an application submitted online. Supplemental documents including grade reports and administrator referrals will need to be submitted. Next, students will need to take an entrance assessment to gauge their academic levels in reading and math. Finally, we require that your family meet with our admissions team for a family interview. 

If there aren’t any spots available for a qualified applicant, the applicant will be placed in a waiting pool. Wait pools are not prioritized wait lists. If an opening becomes available, the admissions committee will select the most appropriate candidate. TCCS reserves the right to give priority consideration to qualified siblings of current students and children of alumni applicants. 

Tuition assistance is available for parents of students in grades K-12. Tuition assistance is based solely on demonstrated need. Applying for aid does not guarantee that assistance will be offered. Tuition assistance decisions are made separately from admission decisions. Tri-City Christian uses FACTS, a financial services company, to screen all tuition assistance applicants. You may apply either before or after applying for admission to TCCS. 

Tri-City Christian seeks to admit students who are responsible citizens and eager learners who are prepared both academically and spiritually to impact our culture for Jesus Christ. During the application process, our admissions committee will review criteria including, but not limited to, previous grades, administrator and teacher referrals, parent and student testimonies, standardized test scores, and student questionnaires.
