Decision letters will be emailed by the Director of Admissions beginning March 1st. If you’ve applied after March 1st, the application process above takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete before receiving a decision letter. Once a letter of acceptance has been sent, parents must respond by completing enrollment within 10 days to claim the available open seat.

Admissions Checklist

  • Submit your online application and $150 application fee

  • Submit all supplemental application forms:

    • Student Questionnaire (Grades 7-12)
    • Report Cards (Last year & this year)
    • IEP or 504 plan Reports if applicable (further documentation may be required)
    • Pastor Recommendation (7th-12th)
    • Teacher Recommendations (K-12)
    • Administrator Recommendations (K-12)
  • Complete entrance testing beginning in January

  • Attend a family interview. Parents and student applicant(s) must attend.

Admissions Process

Admissions Criteria

Spiritual

Elementary students (Grades K-6): Although parents or guardians of Preschool and Elementary students at TCCS are not required to be professing believers in Jesus Christ, the school seeks families that desire a partnership with the school and its pursuit of training up champions for Jesus Christ.

Secondary students (Grades 7-12): The student and at least one parent or guardian must be professing believers in Jesus Christ, attend an evangelical Christian church regularly, and agree with the school’s doctrinal statement. One parent or guardian must provide a written testimony.

All parents or guardians must sign the Parent Commitment Form, which conveys full support and agreement of the Christian education philosophy, statement of faith, spiritual goals, policies, and procedures at TCCS.

Academic

Each student applying for grades K-12 will be assessed for admission to Tri-City Christian School.

Students applying to TCCS for grades 4-12 must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above in core academic classes. In addition, the most recent semester GPA must be 2.0 or higher.

Entrance and previous test results must indicate the student’s readiness and aptitude for the TCCS academic program of grades K-12.

IEP students or students who have had their education modified in any way must submit a copy of all official documentation.

Behavioral

Each student applying to TCCS must be in good standing with his/her current school.

Each student applying to TCCS must have favorable references from his/her most recent school.

Should a student applying to TCCS have prior substance abuse addictions or violations, he/she must have successfully completed at least one full semester in a regular school program prior to being admitted to TCCS. In addition, the student must provide evidence of a lifestyle that is 100% drug and alcohol free. TCCS will not accept students directly from residential treatment programs or those who have been expelled from another school.

Students applying for admission to grades 6-12 must express a sincere desire to attend TCCS.

Financial

All financial obligations to the school must be kept current in order to maintain enrollment at TCCS.

Tuition Assistance

Tri-City Christian School offers families who need financial assistance the opportunity to participate in the tuition assistance program of TCCS. An independent third party, FACTS, reviews and determines whether or not a family qualifies for financial assistance. More information is available on our website at tccs.org under Financial Aid.

Admission Policy

Tri-City Christian School reserves the right to select students on the basis of academic performance, Christian commitment, lifestyle choices, and personal qualifications including a willingness to cooperate with the administration and school policies of Tri-City Christian School. Therefore, TCCS reserves the right, within its sole discretion, to refuse admission of an applicant or to discontinue enrollment of a student on the basis of, but not entirely limited to, sexual orientation, or inability to support the moral principles of the school.

Tri-City Christian School admits students of any race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities that the school provides students. In addition, TCCS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, tuition assistance program, extra-curricular activities and other school programs.
